Huzhou's Nanxun district was recently included in a national program to pursue the integrated development of rural industries, according to local media reports.

According to the initial plans unveiled by local authorities, a 96.18-square-kilometer area primarily located in Qianjin town, Shicong town and Shanlian town will be allocated to build a national demonstration park for the task.

Within three years, 23 projects worth 4.28 billion yuan ($618.76 million) related to industries like agriculture, leisure tourism, and modern logistics are expected to be brought to the park, the local government announced.

In addition to Nanxun, two other places – Dongheng village in Deqing county and Lujia village in Anji county – were previously included in the program to seek the integration of rural industries.

As of 2022, the output value of primary, secondary, and tertiary industries in Huzhou's demonstration parks for the integrated development of rural industries reached 4.18 billion yuan, 3.42 billion yuan and 1.55 billion yuan, respectively, official statistics show.
