Parent-child culture festival opens in Nanxun

The Yangtze River Delta Parent-child Culture Festival opened in Nanxun district, Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, on May 9. Yangtze River Delta is a region encompassing the provinces of Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui as well as Shanghai municipality.

Gu Xiulian, director of the China Next Generation Care Working Committee, and Chen Hao, Party chief of Huzhou, jointly unveiled the plate for the newly-established Yangtze River Delta Parent-child Culture Research Base at the opening ceremony.

Chen Hao said Huzhou is a place where visitors can enjoy captivating natural views and learn about traditional skills like calligraphy, painting and tea-making, expressing hope that more people will come to Huzhou and invest in the city.

Nanxun is home to many tourist attractions like the Grand Canal and multiple ancient towns, which has provided a strong foundation for the development of family-oriented industries in the district, according to Hu Zuohua, deputy head of Zhejiang Station of China Media Group.

The opening ceremony also witnessed the release of the Nanxun Development Strategy of Parent-child Relationship in China and the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement between the Nanxun government and the College of Education of Beijing Normal University.
