Anji county in Huzhou has been selected as a pilot program participant by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) to promote eco-design principles in industrial design throughout China.

Anji is one of three selected locations in China and the only one in Zhejiang.

The county has made significant progress in promoting sustainability within its industries by encouraging enterprises to minimize their resource usage across the product lifecycle.

According to official records, Anji has established one national green park, five national green factories, three national green supply chain management demonstration enterprises, and six provincial-level green and low-carbon factories.
