A noteworthy achievement has been made by Huzhou in East China's Zhejiang province, as 443 enterprises from the city have been included in the 2023 list of provincial-level scientific and technological small and medium-sized enterprises.

Currently, Huzhou boasts a total of 6,830 provincial-level scientific and technological enterprises.

The 443 newly-listed provincial-level scientific and technological enterprises employ 1,913 technical personnel, comprising 18.9 percent of the total workforce. These companies have collectively invested 420 million yuan ($58.02 million) in research and development, accounting for 4.1 percent of their main business income.
