Shanchuan township in Huzhou's Anji county has made strides in empowering rural vitalization through the infusion of art.

One standout among the various art projects in the area is the Gewu Changran Art Tribe, situated in Gaojiatang village.

Established in May, this art facility specializes in art sculpture design and planning, digital 3D printing, and cultural and artistic exchanges. It is staffed with students from esteemed art academies from around China, as well as local artisans who are skilled in traditional crafts such as armor and hanfu production.

Currently preparing for their inaugural art exhibition, the tribe is already attracting nearly 200 visitors daily, despite not yet being open to the public.

"Our first art exhibition showcases over 60 remarkable works that center on the theme of humans and nature. Going forward, we aim to present works revolving around different themes each quarter," shared Xia Wan, the team's leader and a post-95 generation artist.

Li Pengfei, a member of the Party committee of Shanchuan township, emphasized the significance of culture and art in the region. "Shanchuan not only possesses a favorable natural environment but also requires support from culture and art," he stated.

Over the past two years, the township has actively promoted art in rural areas, striving to integrate artistic elements into rural landscapes as well as cultural and tourism projects. It has to date introduced eight art entrepreneurship teams like the Gewu Changran Art Tribe.

Liu Changchun, a staff member of the art tribe, expressed their broader vision. "Beyond our primary tasks, we are also exploring ways to contribute to the village. Through art, we hope to invigorate the development of Shanchuan and foster a more vibrant countryside," he remarked.

The art tribe plans to collaborate with surrounding villages to launch cultural and creative souvenirs, enhancing the local environment through art design. Additionally, they will organize a range of cultural salons and art exhibitions, utilizing both domestic and foreign art resources.
