Huzhou's Anji county has been shortlisted to become a national demonstration county for integrated urban-rural transportation development, as announced by the Ministry of Transport.

Over the next two years, Anji will strive to meet the requirements necessary to be designated as a demonstration county, further enhancing its integrated urban-rural transportation system.

With a rating of 5A and a development level score of 98.5, Anji has a total of 2,075 kilometers of rural roads, accounting for 90 percent of the county's total.

Anji's integrated development level of urban and rural public transportation ranks top in the country, with public transportation accessible to all its administrative villages.

All buses running on roads in the county are now completely powered by electricity and support mobile payment systems.

The county has also launched a fixed-fare system, meaning the fare is no longer decided by distance, which has significantly slashed public transportation costs.

A preliminary logistics service system integrating urban and rural areas has been established in Anji to support the seamless flow of goods and services.
