The 2023 Green and Low-Carbon Innovation Conference, an important part of China's first National Ecology Day celebration, took place in Huzhou, Zhejiang province on August 15.

The conference, organized by the China Association for Science and Technology, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government, comprised a main forum, international green and low-carbon technology exhibition, nine sub-forums, and a series of matchmaking activities.

Many academicians from home and abroad, officials from national departments, renowned experts and scholars from well-known universities, and representatives of entrepreneurs attended the event.

During the conference, the Green and Low-Carbon Innovation Development Fund was established, and the Ecological Civilization (Huzhou) Public Education Center was inaugurated, providing substantial support for Zhejiang and Huzhou's endeavor in technological innovation related to carbon reduction.

Participants also visited Deqing county and Anji county in Huzhou to witness the remarkable changes driven by China's nature preservation initiatives.

Chen Hao, Party secretary of Huzhou, said that the conference would serve as an opportunity to learn from experts and scholars. He emphasized the city's commitment to green and low-carbon innovation.
