Huzhou in East China's Zhejiang province has recently added two new provincial overseas warehouses, according to the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce and Zhejiang Provincial Department of Finance, bringing the total number of such warehouses in the city to three.

The two new warehouses were established by Longwei Furniture Co Ltd in Burlington, the United States and Noblelift Intelligent Equipment Co Ltd in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Overseas warehouses are set up by domestic export companies to store their products in target market countries. These warehouses enable the companies to respond quickly to local orders by carrying out sorting, packaging, and distribution directly from the local warehouse.

"The construction of overseas warehouses allows us to better meet the needs of consumers," said a representative from Noblelift Intelligent Equipment Co Ltd. The company's warehouse in St. Petersburg is an integrated service platform that provides various services such as after-sales support and technical assistance to local customers. This has further supported the company's expansion overseas and contributed to a 130 percent increase in sales revenue in the Russian market in 2022 compared to the previous year.

Longwei Furniture Co Ltd has been involved in cross-border e-commerce since 2014. In 2022, the company established an overseas presence in Colorado, the US and set up an overseas warehouse there. Currently, the warehouse covers an area of 120,000 square feet and has a capacity of 3,500 pallet positions. The company has plans to expand into overseas markets such as Australia and Europe in the future, with a focus on strengthening its product branding.
