Foreign diplomat delegation visits Huzhou

A delegation of diplomats from over 10 Asian countries embarked on a tour of Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, on Aug 30.

The delegation's Zhejiang tour began a day before and includes other stops in Hangzhou and Shaoxing.

While meeting with the diplomats, Chen Hao, Party chief of Huzhou, extended a welcome on behalf of the city before briefing the delegation on Huzhou's latest social and economic developments.

Chen expressed hope that the diplomats would visit Huzhou more frequently, deepen economic and trade cooperation, and explore development opportunities with the city.

Bishnu Pukar Shrestha, Nepali ambassador to China, expressed gratitude on behalf of the diplomatic delegation for the meticulous arrangements and warm reception in Huzhou. He highlighted Huzhou as the world's only international demonstration zone for ecological civilization cooperation and praised the city for its beauty. The visit provided the delegation with a deeper understanding of Huzhou's social and economic development, particularly in the digital economy and green and low-carbon transformation of enterprises. He expressed a desire for further exchanges and mutual learning, laying a solid foundation for future cooperation.

During their time in Huzhou, the delegation visited various places, including the 3-on-3 basketball court in Deqing Geographic Information Town, Zhejiang Hydrogen Craft Co Ltd and Changxing Taihu Electric Co Ltd.
