Expats embrace Huzhou festivities for Asian Games

A delegation of 40 expatriates from 13 countries recently gathered in Huzhou, a city located in East China's Zhejiang province, to participate in a special event celebrating the upcoming Asian Games.

The event, organized by the Huzhou Municipal Office of Foreign Affairs and the Huzhou Municipal Sports Bureau, took place at the Huzhou Olympic Sports Center and consisted of two distinct parts: a scenic hike and a series of fun sports contests. At 9:00 am, the delegation embarked on a hike along the route of the Asian Games torch relay, allowing them to immerse themselves in the vibrant atmosphere surrounding the Games.

Following the invigorating hike, a sports competition took place. Participants enthusiastically engaged in a variety of activities, including a big-foot relay, funny golf, kangaroo bouncing, whimsical football shooting, and a game called "asking for directions" that involved throwing stones. The infectious enthusiasm of everyone involved created a lively and joyful atmosphere throughout the venue.

This event provided a wonderful opportunity for the expatriates to embrace the spirit of the Asian Games while also furthering their connection to the city, stated a head official at the Huzhou Municipal Office of Foreign Affairs.
