The Huzhou Institute of Industrial Control Technology opened in Huzhou's Southern Taihu New District on Oct 18. This marks a significant milestone for the city, as it is its first national-level science and innovation platform.

The institute, a collaboration between the Huzhou Municipal People's Government and Zhejiang University, has a specific focus on conducting theoretical research, technological development, and applications in the field of high-end control equipment and systems.

The opening ceremony was attended by distinguished individuals, including Sun Youxian, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Jin Jianxiang, director of the State Key Laboratory of Industrial Control Technology at Zhejiang University, Shao Zhijiang, dean of the School of Control Science and Engineering at Zhejiang University, Du Wenli, dean of the Graduate School of East China University of Science and Technology, and Zhong Weimin, dean of the School of Information Science and Technology at East China University of Science and Technology, as well as more than 180 members of the research team from the institute.

Huzhou's Southern Taihu New District has to date attracted a total of 25 research platforms, which have been established in collaboration with renowned universities.
