Zhili, a town located in Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, has been named among China's top 1,000 towns in terms of comprehensive strength in 2023.

The town secured 52nd place on the list, which was unveiled at a forum in Beijing on Oct 20.

The ranking was determined by an evaluation of towns throughout China based on five key factors: economic development, innovation vitality, development potential, livability, and affluence.

Zhili, situated in Huzhou's Wuxing district, boasts a staggering 14,000 market entities in the children's clothing sector. It has gained a reputation for its exceptional efficiency in converting designs into physical products. This process takes just three hours to complete. With a capacity to produce 1.5 billion articles of children's clothing annually, Zhili has cemented itself as a leader in the industry.

In 2022 alone, the town achieved a remarkable sales volume of over 70 billion yuan ($9.57 billion), accounting for two-thirds of the domestic market.
