Anji has emerged as a pioneer in effectively harnessing vast amounts of natural resources, becoming a leader in rural vitalization and improving the overall well-being of its residents.

In a recent endeavor to better conserve its natural resources, the region launched a paragliding competition in the southwest. The event has injected vitality into rural areas and attracted thrill-seekers from near and far. Four take-off sites and three landing sites have been established in Zhongzhang village of Baofu town, Zhangli village of Zhangcun town, and Hegai village, cementing Anji's status as a premier global paragliding destination. With more than 200 days suitable for flying annually, the county has become a sanctuary for paragliding enthusiasts.

Demonstrating its commitment to sustainable practices, Anji has made considerable strides in substituting plastic with bamboo across various sectors. Bamboo, renowned for its eco-friendly qualities, has been utilized in outdoor flooring, disposable kitchen utensils, daily necessities, and furniture. These efforts have yielded fruits, with total sales of bamboo products reaching 1.25 billion yuan ($175.13 million).

Anji's dedication to environmental preservation is further exemplified by a major contract for 2 million biodegradable bamboo environmental bags. This forward-thinking initiative has effectively reduced plastic waste by more than 2,000 metric tons, presenting a shining example of the region's steadfast commitment to sustainability.
