2 Huzhou venues recognized for high-rail tourism in YRD

Two venues in Huzhou - Deqing county and Nanxun district - have recently been chosen as part of the third batch of high-speed rail tourism small cities in the Yangtze River Delta, a region encompassing the provinces of Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui as well as Shanghai municipality.

Deqing is renowned for its rich history and cultural artifacts, earning it the title of the birthplace of Chinese original porcelain and pearl artificial cultivation technology.

The Moganshan Scenic Area, a national 4A-level tourist attraction, has been recognized by the New York Times as one of the "45 places in the world worth visiting". Visitors to Moganshan, or Mount Mogan, can indulge in the mesmerizing beauty of the bamboo forest and admire the European-style villas scattered across the landscape. Additionally, Deqing has gained recognition in the homestay industry, with some establishments operated by foreigners gaining popularity both domestically and internationally.

On the other hand, Nanxun takes pride in its two world-class cultural heritages, namely the Grand Canal and the mulberry fishpond system. It is also a significant production hub for Chinese writing brushes. The national 5A-rated Nanxun Ancient Town welcomes visitors from all over the world and does not charge an entrance fee. In the coming year, the official opening of the Nanxun High-Speed Rail Station will improve accessibility to the district.
