Huzhou is a high-value city full of hope and endless possibilities, Huzhou Mayor Hong Hupeng introduced the city to the world at the 2nd "Beautiful China Dynamic Huzhou" Conference on Investment and Science Cooperation and Huzhou Future Conference on May 18.

Held in Huzhou, Zhejiang province, the conference attracted more than 900 participants to the south bank of Taihu Lake, including foreign ambassadors to China, representatives of the world's top 500 enterprises and multinational companies, and high-level talents.

In recent years, Huzhou has made tremendous efforts in attracting investments and talents. In the first quarter, it introduced 114 projects with investments exceeding 300 million yuan ($41.53 million), achieving 38 percent of its annual target. A total of 302 innovation and entrepreneurship projects of high-level talents were introduced last year.

The event also featured a signing ceremony of 110 projects with a total investment of 103.92 billion yuan.

Chen Hao, the city's Party secretary, mentioned at the conference, "In the past five years, more than 400,000 young talents have come to Huzhou to start businesses and innovations."

In 2023, Huzhou's GDP reached 401.5 billion yuan. In the first quarter, it saw a 7.7 percent growth in GDP, ranking second in the province.
