At the 2024 Zhejiang Intangible Cultural Heritage Food Competition held on July 5, the Wujun soup dumpling from Huzhou, Zhejiang province, stood out among the 10 most popular delicacies.

Originating from Anji county, the Wujun soup dumpling can be traced back to Wu Jun, a notable figure from the Liang Dynasty (502-557). While traveling, Wu discovered these delectable soup dumplings at a local shop, and the shop owner named them "Wujun soup dumplings" in his honor.

Characterized by its thin skin and tender meat fillings, the soup dumpling has upheld a thousand-year-old tradition of excellence. Each bite releases a savory burst of soup in the mouth that delights the palate.

Preserving traditional flavor while also combining modern techniques, the soup dumpling has maintained its popularity for generations with its flavorful meat and fresh soup. It has also been awarded as one of the "Top 10 Farmhouse Specialties Snacks in Zhejiang".
