Olympic champions inspire Zhili's children's clothing industry

A group of Olympic champions visited Zhili town in Huzhou, Zhejiang province, on Nov 16 and 17, led by Yu Zaiqing, vice-president of the Olympic Council of Asia.
Known as the "Capital of Chinese Children's Clothing", Zhili is home to over 14,000 children's clothing enterprises, with a staggering annual production of 1.5 billion clothing items.
The group, including champions Wang Liping, Zhang Hui, and Zhang Nan, visited the Zhili Children's Clothing Global Selection Center and local enterprises, immersing themselves in the unique allure of Zhili's children's clothing culture.
Yu emphasized the resonance between the Olympic spirit and local development, envisioning a future where Zhili excels not only in children's clothing but also in sports-related apparel.
The group also visited the Zhili Experimental Primary School Education Group, taking part in a friendly relay race with students to promote the joy and benefits of sports among youth.
Local officials expressed their commitment to using this visit as a catalyst for promoting the Olympic ethos and Zhili's unique spirit. They outlined plans to harness the children's clothing industry as a cornerstone for broader cultural, tourism, and sports initiatives.
