Updated: January 21, 2026 L M S

The signing ceremony for the Intelligent Manufacturing Base Project for Precision Processing of Special Pipelines for Clean Energy Ships was held in the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA) on Jan 16.

The investor in the project, Daimeike Overseas Enterprise, was established in Singapore in 2009 and has since specialized in ship leasing and agency services. In June 2025, the company set up Jiangsu Blue Boat Marine Equipment in the NETDA.

The new project covers an area of 150 mu (10 hectares), with a planned total investment of $150 million. It is scheduled for completion in 2027 and is expected to produce around 80,000 metric tons of special pipes annually, generating annual sales revenue over 2 billion yuan ($287.32 million).

The construction of this project is projected to make a significant contribution to the domestic development of technology and manufacturing for special marine pipelines. The successful establishment of the project also marks a major achievement for the NETDA's major industry projects and foreign investment projects in 2026.
