Enriching people’s lives with cultural services

Ordos has expedited the development of its modern public cultural services system in recent years, which has benefited its residents significantly, local officials said.
The city in the Inner Mongolian autonomous region has kept increasing the money spent on constructing cultural infrastructure for the public since it began to build a national demonstration area for public cultural services in 2011.
The total area of the public culture facilities in Ordos amounts to 1.64 million square meters and the per capita area is 0.78 sq m. The construction area of city-level facilities is 500,000 sq m.
Public libraries in the city house 3.71 million books and the per capita number is 1.85.
