The city government has released incentive policies to support folk culture, and organizations and families that are active in cultural activities.

The local authorities have supported 11,000 such families and helped to found more than 1,000 cultural folk organizations and rural amateur performing groups.

The Ordos authorities have also promoted standardization of public cultural services, releasing supporting policies and formulating 60 implementation standards focusing on facilitating access to basic cultural activities, such as reading newspapers and books, and participating in public cultural and sports activities.

The local government has also promoted the construction of comprehensive grassroots cultural service centers, with specific requirements laid out for the centers’ construction areas and the services they provide.

To promote the standardization of public cultural services, the Ordos government also launched a program about developing demonstration regions and organizations. In total, it has designated 155 such organizations.
