Jianmen Pass scenic area is located in the northern part of Jiange county, Guangyuan city, Sichuan province.
Covering 84 square kilometers, it has two adjacent national 4A level scenic spots, Jianmen Pass and Cuiyun Gallery.
It was chosen in one of the first batch of national scenic areas and the sixth batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
Jianmen Pass has a long history, which originated in the Western Zhou Dynasty (c.11th century-771 BC). It is by far the first and the best-preserved man-made ancient post road with the longest service life in China.
