Lizhou district won the title of "The Most Beautiful Tourist Destination of Ecological Culture in China" at the 4th International Tourism Conference on April 24.

The conference was held in the Baquan Gorge Scenic Area of Taihang Mountain Grand Canyon in Huguan, China, and granted a number of "Elites Awards" such as "The Most Beautiful City in China" "The Most Characteristic Cultural Tourist Destination in China" and "The Most Beautiful Tourist Destination of Ecological Culture in China".

The annual conference has set up a platform for exchanges, sharing and cooperation among tourism industry enterprises and offices and brought new opportunities for tourism development in Lizhou district.

In recent years, Lizhou has actively promoted the development of tourism and built candidate tourism counties, provincial-level tourism demonstration zones and Yueba provincial-level tourist resorts. 

It was selected by China Tourism News as among the 2020 Top 100 Municipal Districts with Tourism Development Potentials. Yueba village in particular was included on the List of Key Rural Tourism Villages in China by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the National Development and Reform Commission, and Tianzhao Mountain was named one of the "88 Sichuan must-visit scenic spots" by the Sichuan Forestry and Grassland Bureau.
