As the delicate mist rose from the siphon's glass tube under the flame, marking the progression of the Xiamen International Coffee Fair 2025, the first Chinese qualifier for the 2026 World Siphonist Championship (WSC) in Xiamen established a bridge for coffee professionals, directly connecting career competitions to the international stage.
In 2013, Xiao Feibin secured her place in international competitions by winning the Xiamen Cross-Strait Siphonist Championship. Today, she is dedicating her efforts to bringing the first China Siphonist Championship to Xiamen.
Xiao shared, "Back then, it was the competition in Xiamen that gave me the opportunity to step onto the international stage. Now, I want to pass this platform on to more young people." Her journey — from competitor to promoter — reflects the growing maturity of Xiamen's coffee talent development ecosystem.
As a central hub for the global dissemination of siphon coffee culture, Xiamen is systematically advancing a model of "competition empowerment + industry integration".
Through specialized training programs organized in collaboration with institutions like the Jimei Coffee Alliance, the introduction of SCA international certification, and the promotion of enterprise-led or joint training bases, Xiamen is committed to transforming the impact of competitions into lasting momentum for talent development and industrial advancement.

Why Xiamen
-
Xiamen is one of the most economically competitive cities in China and was one of the first Special Economic Zones on the Chinese mainland. As a vice-provincial city independently listed on the State development plan, it has provincial-level authority in economic administration and local legislative power. In 2010, the Xiamen SEZ was expanded to cover the entire municipality. Today, Xiamen is a modern and international port city.
