Xiamen Customs issued a total of 339,100 Certificates of Origin in 2025, representing a 12.15 percent growth, with the total value of goods reaching 130.97 billion yuan ($18.76 billion). These certificates are expected to help export enterprises enjoy tariff reductions of approximately 4.35 billion yuan in importing countries.

Known as "paper gold" in international trade, Certificates of Origin are becoming increasingly important for enterprises seeking to expand into overseas markets.

In 2025, the number of China-ASEAN Certificates of Origin issued by Xiamen increased by 18.32 percent year-on-year, with industries such as mechanical and electrical products, textiles and apparel, and footwear becoming the main beneficiaries.

Among these, the volume of certificates issued for cross-border e-commerce overseas warehouse goods exported to ASEAN grew rapidly following the launch of Xiamen Customs' "Green Channel for Certificates of Origin for Overseas Warehouse Goods".

Xiamen Customs has promoted a fully digitized process for enterprises to handle Certificates of Origin, featuring "intelligent review + self-service printing + smart customs service hub + self-service mailing". This enables the entire process of applying for and receiving certificates to be completed with zero in-person visits required.

The "China Customs Preferential Certificate of Origin Service Platform" has also been integrated with Xiamen's e-government services, achieving interconnectivity between customs and local administrative platforms.

This provides enterprises with enhanced support and convenience in utilizing free trade agreements to expand overseas and secure tariff benefits, while further streamlining certificate issuance.
