The International Exhibition and Event Convention 2026 (IEEC) was successfully held in Shenzhen, Guangdong province from Jan 19 to 21.

Xiamen organized 18 enterprises to participate, showcasing the city's business environment for MICE sector (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) and reaching preliminary cooperation intentions on multiple projects.

As a premium platform for the MICE sector in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, this edition of the conference assembled around 2,000 elites from the government and industry associations as well as upstream and downstream enterprises in the exhibition industry chain, brand owners, technology companies, and cross-sector institutions.

Xiamen participated with a thematic exhibition booth titled "A Charming MICE Destination", where it closely engaged with 104 enterprises, including Messe Berlin, China Foreign Trade Centre, and Ecat Expo International Indonesia. 

Preliminary cooperation intentions were reached with six companies, including Guangzhou Boyi Global Exhibition, Guangdong Wise Exhibition and Guangdong Grandeur Exhibition Group, covering six projects such as China Fisheries and Seafood Expo and a large-scale conference that saw thousands.

At this event, Xiamen's MICE industry has taken the two-way empowerment between exhibitions and industries as its driving force, further advancing the "MICE + Industry" development strategy and enhancing efforts to attract exhibitions and conferences.
