The China Smart Electric Vehicle Industry Chain Top 100 Forum was held on Dec 8-9 in Hefei – capital of East China's Anhui province – attracting about 200 companies from the automotive industry.
The conference featured leading experts and entrepreneurs from the auto sector. They shared their insights on the new opportunities and challenges in China's auto market in the next decade, as well as the prospects for expanding exports.
Zhong Deying, deputy secretary-general of the Hefei municipal government, said in a keynote speech that the new energy vehicles and intelligent connected vehicles industries were key pillars of Hefei's new industrial development. Zhong said they relied on advanced vehicle technology, safety and controllability of key components, as well as infrastructure support.
He added that Hefei was actively supporting the Grand Union of Innovation – a local sci-tech innovation hub – to launch a new industry development model that recruited global partners to link resources and stimulate the market's vitality.
During the conference, the Grand Union of Innovation also announced a new innovation unit – Hefei Xyuan Science and Technology Innovation Service Co Ltd. It will aim to foster the integration of innovative elements, nurture high-tech enterprises and boost the development of industry clusters.
