GUI's innovation ecosystem development in 2023 explained

In 2023, the Grand Union of Innovation made remarkable achievements in its innovation ecosystem.

With a global perspective, the network expanded rapidly, connecting 90 universities and 120 alumni organizations, collaborating with six overseas institutions, while nine innovation centers were established worldwide, marking a significant milestone.

This growth fostered a dense alumni resource network, supporting the exchange of valuable information. The exploration of collaborative mechanisms further propelled the transformation of scientific achievements into tangible projects, leading to the creation of 846 new technology initiatives.

GUI's brand influence surged as it hosted visiting groups from Australia and major cities including Shanghai and Hong Kong, organized five national-level events, enhancing its global footprint. The innovative spirit extended to the creation of 28 dynamic innovation units, fostering collaboration and industry integration.

Notably, the ecosystem became a magnet for talent, with over 30,000 entrepreneurial minds converging to drive forward eight unicorn and potential unicorn companies. The operating guidance fund reached a milestone of 30 billion yuan ($4.17 billion), signaling a robust investment environment.

Looking ahead, GUI remains committed to its vision, welcoming investment and collaboration. As it continues to innovate and expand, the institution stands as a beacon of progress, illuminating pathways for the next generation of creators and entrepreneurs.

In the past year, GUI has also laid the groundwork for future breakthroughs, embodying the spirit of collaboration and discovery on a global scale.
