On Aug 29, the 2024 China Anhui Entrepreneurship Competition was successfully held in Shanghai. The event was guided by the Grand Union of Innovation (GUi), with the Hefei High-Tech Zone Management Committee and the Hefei Municipal Government Shanghai Liaison Office serving as hosts.
With the theme "innovate in Anhui, chase dreams together," the event attracted numerous companies from Shanghai to discuss cutting-edge technology and explore collaboration opportunities. The vibrant exchange helped build connections and expand partnerships.
Huang Lijie, deputy director of the Hefei High-Tech Zone, encouraged entrepreneurs and investors to contribute to the dynamic innovation landscape of Hefei and GUi. Representatives from GUi shared updates on its growth, noting that over 1,520 new tech companies have joined the GUi ecosystem, which now includes more than 4,700 technology companies and service institutions. GUi aims to strengthen its role as a hub for technological innovation and reform.
The event provided a platform for companies in fields like biomanufacturing, AI, and semiconductors to share their experiences and explore key factors for business growth. Since its launch in 2022, over 11,000 projects have participated, including more than 1,000 from outside Anhui and abroad. This year, the total prizes for external and international participants reached 1.5 million yuan ($ 212,729), with the top prize set at 500,000 yuan.
