Ties between Hefei and Hong Kong were further strengthened with a promotion event held in Hong Kong on Aug 29.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Grand Union of Innovation (GUi) and Hong Kong Cyberport Management during the event, witnessed by Wang Qingxian, governor of East China's Anhui province. It marked a new phase of collaboration focusing on project cooperation and talent exchange.

The promotion event, held at the Hong Kong Productivity Council and co-organized by Xingtai Holding Company (Hong Kong) Limited and the GUi Hong Kong Innovation Center, gave participants a glance at GUi's development and aimed to bridge entrepreneurial and innovation resources.
GUi has already established itself as a thriving innovation hub, attracting over 4,700 technological companies and tech service providers, 1,520 of which are newly established tech-oriented enterprises.
With nine innovation centers set up globally and more than 10,000 new talents added, GUi is rapidly evolving into a leading center for technology and innovation.
The event also highlighted the Third Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition of Anhui. The new duos of Hefei and Hong Kong, GUi and Cyberport Management are expected to deepen the exchange of innovation and entrepreneurship resources, promoting integrated technological and economic development in the two cities and surrounding areas.
