GUi firm unveils world's first cold field desktop electron microscope

Hefei Guojing Instruments Technology Company, a company based in the Grand Union of Innovation(GUi), has launched the world's first cold field desktop scanning electron microscope (SEM). This breakthrough marks a significant advancement in the nation's cold field SEM technology.

The newly released microscope, codenamed MicroST DCF-100 SEM, features core innovations in cold field emission and electron optics control. With its ultra-high resolution, brightness, and low-energy performance, it excels in advanced research applications such as nanotechnology, new materials, and energy sectors.

Guojing Instruments' success highlights GUi's role in bridging the gap between lab research and commercial applications. Over the past two years, GUi has become a hub for tech innovation, attracting 1,725 new enterprises and adding more than 10,000 innovative talents. This vibrant ecosystem has also created over 60,000 job opportunities, with a cluster of 216 funds scaling 240 billion yuan ($33.76 billion).

Founded by alumni from the University of Science and Technology of China, Guojing Instruments has leveraged its expertise in electron optics, quickly gaining traction in the high-end instrument market. The company is now positioned to meet domestic demand for advanced SEM technology, contributing to China's growing tech capabilities.

This achievement underscores GUi's ongoing support for the growth of pioneering startups.
