Ji discussed how advances in anti-aging technology are drawing increasing investment, with the potential to extend human lifespan. He highlighted the idea of surpassing natural aging through technological progress, envisioning a future where life extension becomes a reality.
In addition, he showcased various human enhancement technologies, including AI-powered devices like brain-computer interfaces and smart wearables, which are poised to expand human abilities.
Ji’s address was also focused on the augmentation of human capabilities, in areas of bioengineering, mechanical assistance, and more fields where they overlap. The display of AI-driven hardware, including brain-computer interfaces, smart earbuds, smart glasses, and consumer-grade exoskeletons, illustrated the audience how these tools can enhance human’s ability to perceive the world and their physical capabilities.
This was Ji’s first in-person interaction with tech enthusiasts at GUi since Future Cone established a presence in the area. The collaboration between Future Cone and GUi aims to foster breakthroughs in longevity science, further positioning GUi as a hub for global technological innovation.

In the future, Future Cone will actively explore new innovation service models in the GUi area, focusing on startup incubation, concept validation, new R&D frameworks, pilot testing bases, and technology management systems.
The technology manager system is designed to facilitate the transfer and commercialization of research outcomes. Technology managers in GUi act as intermediaries between researchers and industry, helping identify, evaluate, and manage intellectual property, promote innovation, and drive projects to market readiness.
GUi, on the basis of building up a team of professional technology managers, continue to position intermediary service organizations and managers as a "new element of entities" driving the transformation of achievements into real productive forces.
"Hefei is a city that understands 'venture capital,' and GUi is the 'manager' with considerable influence within this capital," said Wu Shichun, founder of Plum Ventures, in an event last December.
Through its global partnerships, it continuesGUi continues to attract cutting-edge companies and talent, creating a fertile ground for high-tech growth and development.
