GUi lays out innovation in third sci-tech fair

Updated: May 7, 2025

The Third China (Anhui) Science and Technology Innovation Achievement Transformation Fair lit up Hefei with the latest breakthroughs and bold ideas from April 26 to 28. Grand Union of Innovation (GUi), a rising star in China's innovation ecosystem, attended the fair with 47 GUi-based companies that showcased cutting-edge technologies across quantum computing, AI, life sciences, and smart sensing.

GUi's exhibitor lineup was a showcase of future-facing industries. Returning for a second year, standout companies included Guojing Instruments, MCNKS Aerospace, Zhongke Feilong, Bafang Seismic, and Fuqing Medical, each a key player in strategic emerging sectors.

Hanhai Quantum, which made its debut at the fair, drew crowds with the company's materials simulation systems and immersive science education VR, blending science fiction into real-world applications.

Fu Xinlei, COO of Hefei Chaonai Technology Company, was actively engaging with visitors while preparing talks with potential industrial partners.

"Our FP NanoPrinter leads globally in resolution, throughput, and cost-efficiency," Fu said. "It's already been applied in precision molds, custom optics, and biomedical devices, with collaborations established across industrial and academic sectors."

Fu emphasized that this integrated model of research, education, and application will keep their products at the forefront of innovation.

Among the 87 exhibits from GUi-based companies this year, 23 made their debut, with 89 percent reaching domestic-leading or higher technical standards.

From health tech to urban safety, companies are leveraging GUi's unique ecosystem, blending research, policy, and capital to accelerate product development and commercial deployment. Accounting for one percent of Hefei's built-up area, GUi now hosts 23 percent of the city's sci-tech firms.

Company leaders also laud GUi's all-around support and service. Jiang Feng, marketing director of Hanhai Quantum, said that with strong support from GUi, the company now has a clearer roadmap, expanding into the Yangtze River Delta this year and targeting overseas markets along the Belt and Road countries by 2026.
