On June 18, Young Entrepreneur Tian Yufu hurriedly made his way out of Hefei Xinqiao International Airport towards the city's Grand Union of Innovation (GUi). His destination was the "Tech Nomads Hub", which would provide him with insights to help his budding two-year-old startup.
On this day, 35 dreamers of business start-ups like Tian gathered at the GUi to participate in the inaugural session of the entrepreneurship training camp, gearing up to enhance their business management skills. Some specialize in next-generation artificial intelligence, while others focus on high-end equipment and new materials.
Tian said, "I hope to enrich my management and financing experience through this opportunity and find development opportunities in Hefei." He was particularly impressed with the business ecosystem of the GUi. "The environment here is excellent, and everything from financial support to service facilities is well-established. If we can establish ourselves here, I believe we can wholeheartedly focus on technology and products and have a promising future!"
From June 18 to 21, the first session of the GUi entrepreneurship training camp conducted an intensive four-day program, integrating knowledge empowerment with funding support to form a closed-loop system of "learning-practice-transformation".
Prior to the training camp, the GUi had already launched an "innovation camp" and plans to introduce a "speed-up camp" later this year. The three training programs are targeted at startups, growing enterprises, and mature enterprises, respectively. To date, seven sessions of the "innovation camp" have been held, with over 300 companies recruited as formal camp members.
Hefei is establishing multiple sci-tech innovation service platforms that optimally utilize government funds, industrial capital, and financial resources to foster innovation.
