GUi's direct investment enterprise wins AI innovation award

HiDream.ai, the direct investment firm of the Grand Union of Innovation (GUi) specializing in generative artificial intelligence (AI), recently received the Annual Outstanding Achievement of "Zu Chongzhi Award".

The "Zu Chongzhi Award" is named after the ancient Chinese mathematician and astronomer Zu Chongzhi from the Southern and Northern Dynasties (420-581).

It is a non-profit academic award hosted by the New Generation of Artificial Intelligence Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance (AITISA), dedicated to honoring significant technological breakthroughs and innovative efforts in AI.

HiDream.ai's project, "development and application demonstrations of generative visual multimodal models," is the only award-winning entry in Anhui province.

The company has developed visual multimodal foundation models and achieved several milestones. It introduced the world's first open Diffusion Transformer (DiT) model in just two months.

Furthermore, the company has launched the HiDream-I1 image generation model, which combines Sparse Mixture-of-Expert (MoE) technology with generative adversarial learning.

Upon its release, it ascended to the top of the AI benchmarking and analysis platform Artificial Analysis within 24 hours, marking the first Chinese generative AI model to reach the global top tier.

As the first batch of enterprise of the Anhui Artificial Intelligence Industry Pilot Zone, launched in December 2024 at the GUi, HiDream.ai filled the gap in multimodal models for Anhui province.

The founder of HiDream.ai, Mei Tao, is also an alumnus of the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) and an International Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering. He considers Hefei his second hometown.

"The industrial support provided by the pilot zone has created a warm business environment for us," said Mei.
