HuiniuCloud Technology: Empowered by AI to 'raise' cattle in office buildings

Located in the Grand Union of Innovation (GUi), Zhang Kehong of HuiniuCloud Technology manages the remote feeding of thousands of cattle at a cattle farm in Bozhou, 300 kilometers away from the office, with a simple click of his mouse.

Incubated by Hoshine Agriculture & Husbandry with 20 years of expertise in smart farming, HuiniuCloud is reshaping traditional cattle-raising practices through its scientific farming system, making "raising" cattle in office buildings a reality.

To feed cattle over vast distances, smart internet of things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI) are essential. The palm-sized smart ear tags worn by each cattle are "digital sentinel", independently developed by HuiniuCloud.

These ear tags, integrated with biological sensing, radio frequency identification, and 5G transmission technologies, upload real-time physiological data such as body temperature and step count of the cattle to the cloud. Through AI analysis, the system can accurately detect diseases, optimizing feeding plans.

Gone are the days of labor-intensive cattle feeding. In the data-driven central kitchen created by HuiniuCloud, automatic weighing, transportation, and blending of feed based on preset nutritional formulas are possible. The full-day feed required for cattle at various growth stages can now be evenly delivered with a feed spreader, reducing feeding time by 1 to 2 hours and significantly cutting labor costs.

To date, the HuiniuCloud platform has been adopted by over 1,488 large-scale cattle farms, covering 930,000 cattle in Anhui province. The cattle industrial chain provided by HuiniuCloud was selected as a "National Typical Case in Smart Agriculture Construction in 2024".
