Meeting drives business service upgrades, model innovation unit growth

Over 160 representatives from the government, the Grand Union of Innovation (GUi), and GUi innovation units convened in Hefei, Anhui province on July 25 to discuss business service upgrades and share exemplary practices.  

At the 2025 semi-annual work meeting, the achievements of GUi's innovation units were revealed, which include notable progress in attracting projects and talent, nurturing enterprises, developing service management mechanisms, and sharing resources with partners in the first half of the year.

Over 350 new scientific and technological projects have been attracted, encompassing a new energy performance testing center, multimodal awareness robots, and high-end biomass spectrometry medical equipment.

In the second half of the year, GUi will focus on developing benchmark innovation units, building high-quality incubation carriers, nurturing flagship projects, and fostering collaboration between innovation units.

Moreover, a number of cooperation initiatives aimed at incubating enterprises were launched, including an institution for GUikers, an enterprise partner mechanism, and the Anhui Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition.

Sharing sessions were also hosted at the meeting, with innovation unit representatives and government officials sharing insights and offering suggestions. Innovation units were encouraged to enhance their innovation services, improve efficiency, and work with one another to become role models.
