GUi showcases innovation opportunities in Ningbo

On Aug 14, the Grand Union of Innovation (GUi) held a conference in Ningbo, Zhejiang province, to promote the fourth Anhui Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. The conference brought together industry experts and entrepreneurs to explore new collaborative pathways.

Through policy briefings, industry showcases, and project matchmaking, the event highlighted Anhui's growing innovation ecosystem and invited global entrepreneurs to join its momentum.

Anhui today is emerging as a powerhouse of innovation. It is home to pioneering advances in quantum information, fusion energy, and deep-space exploration, as well as industry leaders such as electric vehicle maker Nio, artificial intelligence leader iFlytek, and renewable power producer Sungrow.

In 2024 alone, the province registered over 8.3 million market entities, underscoring a vibrant economy.

The Anhui Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition has become a vital platform for turning innovative capacity into entrepreneurial vitality. Over the past three editions of the event, it has attracted 13,000 projects, including more than 2,800 from outside Anhui and overseas.

Many of these ventures have taken root in Anhui, benefiting from capital support, business-friendly policies, and a strong industrial base.

The fourth edition is now calling for entries worldwide.

As the co-organizer, GUi provides robust innovation resources and commercialization channels. To date, GUi has nurtured more than 7,000 tech enterprises and service institutions, gathered over 70,000 talents, established 13 global innovation centers, and pooled more than 200 investment funds with a combined value exceeding 250 billion yuan ($34.8 billion).

This event also underscored the partnership between Ningbo and Anhui for the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region.

With experts, universities, investors, and tech enterprises in attendance, the dialogue bridged entrepreneurship and industry, creating fertile ground for cross-regional cooperation.

Looking ahead, GUi extends an open invitation to innovators, entrepreneurs, and investors worldwide: partner with Anhui, share opportunities, and shape the future together.
