GUiTEK Service Platform, the National Nano-Manufacturing Industry Innovation Center, and Hefei Scenario Company signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Hefei, the capital city of East China's Anhui province, on Oct 21, marking the substantial progress of GUi in promoting cross-regional collaboration.
The signing ceremony was held at the Grand Union of Innovation (GUi), Hefei's innovation hub. Representatives from about 20 organizations gathered to discuss innovative development.
The strategic cooperation aims to utilize the core strengths of the three parties in innovation resources, industrial platforms, and application scenarios to build a new development pattern for sharing scientific and technological resources and scenario interaction between the Yangtze River Delta region and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, injecting new momentum into the regions' collaborative innovation.
During the event, updates related to construction progress on the National Nano-Manufacturing Industry Innovation Center, located in Guangzhou, South China's Guangdong province, and GUi were presented, with the GLP and SMILE platforms of Guangzhou's innovation center highlighted. The GLP platform, the first in China to specialize in nanotechnology, covers niche areas such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices, personal care products, and food in the nano-biomedicine field. The SMILE platform focuses on innovation in nano-intelligent devices, with applications in AR glasses, smart transportation, intelligent vehicles, and the low-altitude economy.
In the scenario release session, seven scenarios were unveiled, including laboratory automation, AI glasses integration, and chip design tape-out. Specific scenarios encompass automated laboratory label printers, animal house cleaning robots, and automated feeders, as well as AI glasses for smart translation and meeting minutes. The release aims to create an efficient industry matchmaking platform to foster deep exchanges and cooperation between the demand and supply sides.
During the in-depth exchange session, participants engaged in practical discussions on technological cooperation and innovative applications.
The event marked a major step toward cross-regional innovation synergy. Moving forward, all sides will deepen cooperation to build a full-chain ecosystem spanning tech commercialization, enterprise incubation, and industrial upgrading.
