GUi innovation camp nurtures startups with strategy, capital

The 11th session of the Grand Union of Innovation (GUi) training camp recently launched in Hefei, focusing on empowering "Golden Seed" companies, the high-potential startups.

The first phase of the program centered on strategy and capital, with strategic management expert Wang Shenghui and capital operations mentor Xu Shengdeng providing specialized courses on business strategy and capital operations.

During the opening ceremony, representatives from Hefei's municipal science and technology bureau highlighted GUi's role as a key platform for developing competitive tech ventures.

They encouraged the participating startups — key players in the regional innovation system — to improve their strategic vision and resource integration through the camp, thereby accelerating the commercialization of their innovations.

Designed as a structured learning journey rather than a one-off workshop, the first phase of the camp combined strategic thinking with capital readiness, reflecting GUi's long-term approach to nurturing high-potential startups.

Through hands-on cases on strategy maps and balanced scorecards, Wang helped founders translate long-term visions into executable roadmaps to visualize goals, allocate resources, and develop sustainable competitiveness.

Xu addressed some of the most common funding challenges faced by early-stage startups, from equity design to capital market navigation, offering practical guidance on aligning capital strategies with long-term growth. 

Together, the two sessions provided participating companies with both a strategic compass and a financial toolkit, equipping them to navigate uncertainty in an increasingly competitive market.

The GUi Innovation Camp continues to focus on "empowering innovation and supporting growth", with upcoming courses emphasizing organizational management, marketing, and other essential topics, providing comprehensive support for tech-driven enterprises.
