Engine behind GUi's ecosystem

GUi's ability to provide such a "full-chain" and "full-lifecycle" innovation service for tech entrepreneurs stems from three core pillars. 

1. Effective innovation in systems and mechanisms

For GUi, its innovation in systems and mechanisms has equipped it with the resources and capabilities to drive, and even lead, the development of the tech innovation industry, ensuring that everything it does stays aligned with innovation services and technological progress.

Specifically, GUi is a mixed-ownership enterprise with a diversified equity structure, co-funded by six State-owned platform companies and seven alumni enterprises of the USTC.

Guided by the principles of marketization, specialization, platformization, and internationalization, it aims to build a tech industry ecosystem service provider with global service capabilities, connecting with top universities and global alumni.

The leadership group of GUi includes professional members from the CPC Anhui Provincial Committee, the CPC Hefei Municipal Committee, as well as experts from USTC and other relevant institutions.

Furthermore, GUi has established several bodies, such as the strategic advisory committee, GUiTEK, and the global alumni affairs department, offering funding, policies, operations, and talent for tech startups.

This system and mechanism not only give GUi advantages in policy, funding, and research resources but also enable it to operate with market logic while focusing on innovation services, making GUi an ideal entrepreneurial partner.

2. 'Nursery' approach to operations

GUi operates like a dedicated nursery, a specialized garden for cultivating tech startups, providing continuous nurturing to help tech saplings grow into robust enterprises.

For instance, the "GUiker Hub" that "only collects dreams instead of rent", provides aspiring entrepreneurs with free accommodation, startup guidance, policy consultations, and up to six months of rent subsidies.

A tutoring system of training, innovation, and acceleration camps, along with a nurturing framework of enterprise partners and expert consultations, can provide training of management, resource integration, and capital operations tailored to companies at different stages of development.

Moreover, GUi serves as the secretariat of the Anhui Provincial Association for Science and Industry Integration Innovation, facilitating regular interactions between researchers, engineers, and product managers. This accelerates the conversion of scientific achievements into practical products.

From the root of a startup to the eventual market introduction, GUi provides professional and meticulous services at every stage, creating a supportive environment for entrepreneurs.

Today, GUi has established the "GUiker" brand, attracting more and more scientific talents to innovate, start businesses, and head toward their dreams.

3. Global vision and international collaboration

Disruptive innovation must be shared by all of humanity and is based on global cooperation. With a global vision and an inclusive approach, GUi has established a model of global alumni organizations, overseas innovation centers, and global partners, facilitating the connection of overseas talent, projects, and technologies.

Particularly, global partners refer to institutions or teams from around the world that support the development, industrial upgrades, scientific innovation, talent attraction, and promotion of Hefei, Anhui, and GUi. Linking team, fund, and platform, each building within GUi becomes a hub for an industrial chain, and a cradle for emerging industries.

GUi aims to bring together a group of institutions worldwide that possess expertise and resources in areas such as communication, capital, scientific research, and business incubation. These professional organizations will provide GUi-based companies with substantial and effective support in a point-to-point manner.

GUi has recruited over 100 global partner organizations. With the networks expanding, GUi's support for local enterprises will continue to improve.
