Hefei supports global innovators to chase their entrepreneurial dreams

Hefei, the capital city of East China's Anhui province, has introduced the “Tech Talent Community” initiative to create a conducive environment for global tech professionals to launch startups and realize their entrepreneurial dreams in the city.

This initiative offers a tiered entrepreneurial support system, including a "15-day free experience and six-month incubation", alongside comprehensive services from initial exploration to permanent settlement.

For sci-tech talents considering developing in Hefei, the Tech Talent Community offers an innovative "experience first, decide later" model to reduce initial exploration and startup costs. During this initial phase, 15 days of free hotel accommodation and equipped offices will be offered, allowing tech talents to immerse themselves in the city's industrial environment.

In addition, modular courses will be offered, alongside a mentorship system, and "reverse roadshow" sessions for in-depth guidance. Participants may have an opportunity to get subsequent industrial policy support to help them make decisions about whether to develop in Hefei.

For entrepreneurs committed to staying in Hefei and registering with the Grand Union of Innovation (GUi), an innovation hub in Hefei, the Tech Talent Community offers prime entrepreneurial spaces with comprehensive work and living facilities. During this phase, a six-month housing subsidy and cost-free offices will be provided to help talents alleviate housing pressure.

Moreover, one-stop services covering policy consultation, industry connections, and talent services are also provided to help entrepreneurs quickly integrate into the local innovation network.

For startups already established in Hefei, the Tech Talent Community offers deeper growth support. Companies can apply for up to 300 square meters of rent-free office space for up to 12 months to help them control operational costs and focus on core business development. These companies will be integrated into the city's innovation ecosystem, represented by GUi, benefiting from proximity to top research institutions and industrial clusters.

Currently, 10 Tech Talent Community venues are operational across the city, offering both accommodation and entrepreneurial spaces to allow talents to choose flexibly based on their needs.
