Grand Union of Innovation, or GUi, an innovation hub in Hefei in East China’s Anhui province, held a promotional event in Hangzhou, the capital city of East China’s Zhejiang province, focusing on project matchmaking in the fields of artificial intelligence and embodied intelligence.
The event gathered nearly 80 representatives from the Yangtze River Delta region in the fields of AI and embodied intelligence, including industry experts, people engaged in startup projects, those from investment institutions, university alumni associations and industry associations, and cooperation partners.
Zhang Yang, director of the sci-tech investment promotion and commercialization center of Hefei’s Shushan district, discussed the district's appeal, highlighting Shushan's focus on building a modern industrial system and its commitment to developing the AI and embodied intelligence industry.
A manager at the Hefei Scenario Application Innovation Promotion Center emphasized the center’s role as an enabling platform for transforming innovative achievements into industrial applications, saying it provides full-cycle services to promote the large-scale application of new technologies, products and scenarios.
GUi’s innovation ecosystem, policy strengths and latest developments were highlighted at the event, especially the upcoming 2026 Global Tech Talents Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition in Hefei. GUi is committed to supporting global talent in Hefei through full-cycle services covering policy support, financing, application scenarios and workspaces.
During the expert sharing session, Xu Zhijun, vice-president of Hikrobot, a global product and solution provider specializing in machine vision and mobile robots, gave a presentation about key technologies and implementation paths for flexible manufacturing.
The event featured 11 AI and embodied intelligence projects, fostering precise connections between high-quality projects and financial capital.
