The second phase of the 14th Innovation Camp organized by the Grand Union of Innovation (GUi), an innovation hub in Hefei in East China's Anhui province, concluded recently. The training courses focused on business strategy, capital operation, and industry-finance integration.
Chen Zhuyou, a strategy specialist, and Li Zhiping, an industry planning and operations expert, were invited to give lectures. Through a hands-on approach combining workshops, simulated roadshows, and tool outputs, participants were guided to transition from strategic blueprints to capital value realization.
In his course, Chen introduced tools such as the Business Leadership Model (BLM) and the McKinsey 7S Framework. He guided the participants to start from the perspective of the market to accurately identify strategic control points in the supply chain, as well as opportunities for incremental growth.
Li's course was designed to address common challenges faced by tech-innovation enterprises, including the problems often found in valuation, term sheets, and investor relations.
He systematically presented the application of three major valuation models — Discounted Cash Flow, Comparable Company Analysis, and Venture Capital Method. Moreover, he delved deeply into the economic nature of key terms like equity structure, anti-dilution, and valuation adjustment mechanism.
During a simulated roadshow, participants practiced structured presentations designed to captivate investors in five minutes, with Li providing detailed feedback on business planning logic and negotiation strategies.
Officials from the Bureau of Science and Technology attended the closing ceremony, congratulating participants on their successful completion of the training, and introducing Hefei's gradient cultivation system for enterprises.
In collaboration with GUi, the bureau launched eight service initiatives covering multiple dimensions such as R&D, finance, scenarios, and talent.
The 14th GUi Innovation Camp focuses on four core modules: capital, organization, strategy, and branding, with an emphasis on a result-oriented approach integrating both learning and practicing.
The GUi is committed to continuing to mobilize more industrial resources, facilitate capital-business matchmaking, and provide policy consultation services, thus supporting enterprises' growth and injecting continuous momentum into Hefei's development as a significant hub for technological innovation.
