Hefei holds gathering to attract overseas talent

Hefei, the capital city in East China's Anhui province, held an offline event to attract overseas Chinese and students returning from their studies abroad to launch or work with startups and engage in entrepreneurship in the city.

The event was hosted by the Overseas Chinese Scholars Service Department of the All-China Youth Federation and Anhui Youth Federation. It was organized by GUiTEK and other organizations.

It featured over 100 participants, including representatives from the All-China Youth Federation, overseas youth groups from various countries, overseas university student associations, and students returning from studying abroad, as well as young innovators and entrepreneurs in Anhui.

During the event, four young representatives delivered keynote speeches on themes such as technological innovation, cultural integration, industrial cooperation, and youth development services.

The Anhui Youth Federation's Overseas Chinese Scholars Service Department signed cooperation agreements on talent development with overseas youth groups and university associations from 11 countries, including the United Kingdom, Russia, the United States and Singapore.

During a session promoting the many benefits the city has to offer, institutions such as Fuyang Normal University, Hefei high-tech zone, GUiTEK, and Anhui Zhong'an Chuanggu Technology Park showcased Anhui's policies and opportunities in education, research, industrial innovation, platform development, and talent services.

A roundtable session was also held based on the theme of "gathering forces of overseas Chinese talents on the journey of 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030)". Organizers also arranged for members of the All-China Youth Federation, overseas youth, and returned overseas students to visit the Anhui Innovation Pavilion and key technology enterprises in Hefei, including iFlytek, Sungrow and NIO.

GUiTEK is committed to further capitalizing on its advantage as an innovation platform to deepen connections with global overseas youth groups.

It will expand its talent recruitment cooperation network and enhance services for domestic and overseas innovation talents, encouraging more overseas talents to choose Anhui and Hefei.
