The 16th edition of the Innovation Camp, organized by GUi, was held at the Hefei National High-Tech Industry Development Zone in Hefei, East China's Anhui province, matching the needs of local State-owned enterprises with robotics technology from innovative companies.

This event, focused on the high-quality development of the robotics industry and real-world industrial applications, was designed to create a platform for exchanges between the State-owned enterprises in the province and tech firms engaging in the robotics industrial chain.

The event commenced with leading State-owned enterprises, such as Anhui Heli Forklift Corporation, Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group Corporation (JAC Motors), and Anhui Construction Engineering Group, identifying areas where robotic solutions are needed, highlighting technical challenges, application standards, and collaboration pathways.

Anhui Heli Forklift Corporation emphasized needs in smart manufacturing, such as CNC bending robots and tire assembly manipulators. JAC Motors focused on AI visual inspection and smart logistics within vehicle production. Anhui Construction Engineering Group sought innovations in welding robots and AI drone inspections, with use cases covering high-end manufacturing and auto-making process.

During the interactive session, robotics companies showcased their solutions, leveraging core competencies in areas like visual algorithms and system integration, expressing a strong desire to collaborate with State-owned enterprises.

"This event introduces us to the actual needs of enterprises, opening channels for scaling mature robotic products," said a robotics company representative.

In the knowledge-sharing segment, Ji Chao, CEO of Anhui Lingdong General Robotics Technology shared his insights into embodied intelligence and multimodal large models, analyzing industry trends and providing strategic guidance for next-generation intelligent robot.

The camp also featured a unique sandbox simulation exercise, encouraging participants to proactively address challenges. Companies formed groups to brainstorm solutions for 30 real-world robotics use cases, integrating resources across robotics, AI, and system integration. This collaborative approach fostered cross-industry innovation and solution development.

Additionally, a training session on communication skills was conducted to address the challenges faced by many tech companies. Entrepreneurs refined their storytelling and business communication skills, gaining practical experience in engaging with resource providers.

Looking ahead, GUiTEK plans to continue fostering innovation by exploring opportunities for intelligent transformation and integrating resources from academia, industry and capital to accelerate the industrialization of advanced technologies in robotics and AI, boosting the growth of Anhui's robotics industrial cluster.
