The Consulate General of the Republic of Singapore in Xiamen was officially established on Jan 10, 1996. The first consul general was Mr Lim Eng Hoe, and the present consul general is Mr Nelson Ng Chiun Ming. The consulate general has been in charge of relevant works in the provinces of Fujian and Jiangxi since April 2006.
The mission of the consulate general is to safeguard the interests of Singaporeans visiting, living and working in Fujian and Jiangxi provinces as well as to promote bilateral, political, economic and cultural services between Singapore and China.
The consulate general has made great efforts towards mutual friendship and cooperation between Xiamen and Singapore since 1996, especially in the aspects of economy, trade, culture, education and urban construction.
