The Zhejiang sports delegation returned to Hangzhou on Dec 16 after competing at the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities and the 9th National Special Olympic Games, marking a strong overall performance across multiple events.

Members of the delegation arrived in batches at Hangzhou International Airport, where they were welcomed by fans holding flowers.

Over the course of the competition, Zhejiang athletes delivered one of the province's strongest showings to date. In Paralympic and Deaflympic summer events, the delegation won 82 gold medals, 68 silver medals, and 69 bronze medals, while setting one world record and breaking 22 national records.

Zhejiang also posted its best-ever results in mass participation and Special Olympics events. Athletes collected 28 gold medals, 25 silver medals, and 24 bronze medals, surpassing previous totals and reflecting broader participation across disciplines.
