The "Air Tour of Hengdian" in Dongyang county-level city, Jinhua, Zhejiang province, is offering tourists a sightseeing experience that blends the low-altitude economy and cultural tourism.
"Seeing the film sets from above is entirely different from ground level," said Shanghai tourist Wang Linyu after experiencing the tour. The helicopter ascends to 300 meters, offering a panoramic view of Hengdian World Studios' iconic scenic spots.
"Air Tour of Hengdian" offers 10 unique sightseeing routes that connect filming locations for hit series such as Story of Yanxi Palace and Joy of Life.
From the air, visitors can view 13 major attractions, including the Palace of Emperor Qin and the Qing Ming Shang He Tu area, providing an exclusive "in-the-drama" experience with approximately 5,000 tours per year.
In recent years, Dongyang has driven the integration of the low-altitude economy with cultural tourism, film production, and emergency services by utilizing Hengdian General Airport.
The airport has launched a route from Hengdian to Jiande in Hangzhou, linking filming scenic spots with natural beauty. Routes to Zhoushan and Anhui province's Huangshan are also under development, allowing visitors to see film stars in Hengdian, the sea in Zhoushan, and mountains in Huangshan.
With airport expansion underway, upcoming "all-in-one ticketing" initiatives promise to seamlessly blend flight experience with attraction visits.
