Over 20 students from Africa studying at Zhejiang Guangsha Vocational and Technical University of Construction visited Hengdian World Studios in Dongyang county-level city of Jinhua, Zhejiang province, on Jan 28.

The group marveled at the majestic architecture in the New Yuanmingyuan scenic area, which has restored 95 percent of the Old Summer Palace's architectural complex in Beijing at 1:1 scale. The cultural park combines Chinese and Western gardening art and integrates Chinese culture with diverse cultures from around the world.

The students also participated in various activities including an incense ceremony, tie-dyeing, and calligraphy, immersing themselves in the unique charm of traditional Chinese culture.

Through scene restorations and interactive explanations, the event aimed to deepen students' understanding of the core cultural values of Chinese civilization and foster a closer connection between Chinese and African cultures.
