Quzhou's foreign trade up 9.4% in 2025

Quzhou in Zhejiang province achieved a significant milestone in 2025, surpassing 80 billion yuan ($11.52 billion) in total import and export value with 85.82 billion yuan, a 9.4 percent year-on-year increase.

By the end of the year, Quzhou had established trade relations with over 200 countries and regions, with trade volumes increasing in more than 150 of these.

The city's trade with countries and regions involved in the Belt and Road Initiative reached 58.67 billion yuan, up 17.4 percent, accounting for 68.4 percent of the total trade value.

Exports and imports with ASEAN amounted to 25.06 billion yuan, up 35.8 percent; trade with Latin American countries and regions totaled 10.04 billion yuan, up 10.3 percent; and trade with countries and regions in Africa and the Middle East reached 5.71 billion yuan and 1.84 billion yuan, respectively, growing 70 percent and 40.3 percent.

Exports totaled 62.17 billion yuan, a 15.3 percent increase. Of these, electromechanical products reached 17.04 billion yuan, a 16.1 percent increase; basic organic chemicals rose by 25.4 percent to 6.12 billion yuan; and pulp and paper products increased by 10.8 percent to 4.3 billion yuan.

Imports of electromechanical products grew by 39.2 percent to 1.53 billion yuan, and imports of consumer goods increased by 24.9 percent to 580 million yuan.

By the end of 2025, over 1,500 enterprises in Quzhou had active import and export operations, a 9.7 percent increase from the previous year, with private enterprises contributing 76.8 billion yuan, a 14.1 percent increase.
